STATE AGENCY FOR NATIONAL SECURITY - REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA FOUND AND RECOVERED OF THE MUSEUM THE STOLEN HELMET-MASK

After 21 years, State Agency for National Security – Republic of Bulgaria recovered the unique helmet-mask in the museum.

The exhibit – stolen in 1995 – is presented in the permanent exhibition of the museum.

It is made of iron with silver holding, dates back from I c. Its value is about 3 million Euros. In the world there are only three such exemplars.

The press conference for the presentation and exhibition of the helmet was on 25.04.2016 in the hall of Thracian Art in Regional Archaeological Museum - Plovdiv.
